About Our Charities

(Click to go to the websites of these charities to learn more or make a direct donation.)

For the charities we encourage for your Lenten almsgiving this year, we have chosen two that work with people at the opposite ends of life!

As part of Lutherans for Life, Y4LIFE seeks to equip high-school- and college-aged youth to be Gospel-motivated voices 4 Life through service, education, worship, and celebration. Youth are encouraged to engage in life-affirming activities and become Leaders 4 Life in their schools, communities, nation, and world.

A full-service retirement community owned by the SELC District of the LCMS. The Lutheran Haven especially seeks to provide a place for retired church workers to spend their later years and has an endowed benevolent fund to assist with this.

You can donate directly to these charities, or, if you'd like to help us reach our congregational goal of giving $6,000 in Lenten alms this year, send a donation (paper or electronic) to Saint Athanasius - just make sure to designate it as Lenten alms or for the Lenten Life Calender. Thanks!
