Friday of Lent 1, March 3

 

Adoption is a wonderful way to show God's love!

When a husband and wife adopt a child they image God's love for us, who adopted us as His children. So we have a heavenly Father, and also many brothers and sisters in Christ.

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”  ~ Romans 8:15

Dear Jesus, thank You for adopting me into Your family. Thank you for all my brothers and sisters in Christ! And especially for my brother and Saviour, Jesus. Amen.
