Friday of Lent 2, March 10

“My body, my choice,” people say. Is that true? Can I do whatever I want?

We're not robots. God has given us a great deal of freedom, but are we using that freedom wisely? What about others who are impacted by my actions? Am I loving them by what I choose to do or not do? Or am I being selfish?

Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. ~ 1 Corinthians 6:19b-20

Dear Jesus, help me live and make decisions knowing that all that I have is from You and that I belong to You. And help me live in accordance with Your Word and use my body in love and service to others as you did for me! Amen.

THINK! How can slogans be helpful? How are they sometimes unhelpful? Do they always tell the whole truth? What is a better way to live and make decisions?
