Saturday of Lent 2, March 11

I feel so alone.

This can be a hard and lonely world! But as a child of God, you are never alone.

Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.  ~ Psalm 139:7-10

READHere’s a story about when one of God’s own prophets felt alone! That even happened to great prophets! But God was with him, and with you.

LISTEN: Here's a hymn (LSB #768) that's also a prayer for God the Holy Spirit to be with us in our times of need.

REACH OUT to others in your church. If you don't have a church, search for a local church that can help you. I would recommend a local Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregation!

Dear Jesus, sometimes You were alone, but You weren’t alone - Your Father was with You. When I feel alone, help me remember that You are with me. Amen.

If your heart is so moved by the Scriptures, thoughts, and prayers of this week, consider making a donation of Lenten alms to help families and children in need of adoption by donating to Abba or to Second Story. (Click on the "About Our Charities" page above to learn more about these organizations.)
